Facebook and Twitter links (and others)

    Hey Kyle!

You should see about adding some Facebook and Twitter quick links to the site (and there social networking sites as well). I don't Twitter myself, but a lot of people are using Facebook these days, and these links are pretty common.

You just click them and they open the site (and request log-in if necessary), and then start a linked post that the user can then comment on and publish.

Just a thought to get the word out some more!

That's cool, but I was thinking of something like this:

Take a look at this page And when it first comes up look along the left hand column, and you'll see those nice big buttons.

Another thing you can do, Kyle, is there are ways to link Facebook and Twitter to specific featured posts.

Take a look at this page.

(This is a pencil and paper RPG company, so no direct competition to Shadow Era)

You'll that they have Featured Posts, just like you do, but at the bottom of each article there is a Facebook and Twitter link that goes to that specific featured post.

So say for example you have an important featured post that you want to receive a lot of attention. Fans can hit those buttons and launch Facebook and Twitter and link to that specific post. That's a great way to enlist fans in spreading news about the game as you release it.

Thanks for the links! This fancy new vBulletin forum software does have a lot of Facebook options built in, like easily posting an article to your wall etc, but I haven't tested it out yet

I have enabled the Facebook features now, you can easily post links to threads onto your profile! And you can also log into the forums with your facebook account, new users don't even need to create a new forum account!
