GB does work without portal, but I still find it amazing. Example: Turn five, cast a pb/bm/sk, it dies. Turn 6, cast portal, bring it back. Turn 7, if it dies again, cast sf, bring it back AND hit with pb ability.

Without portal the biggies are just meat shields until you can actually use them. I like the speed.

very interesting deck. Seems like decks suck as Eladawen would be the biggest threat as they could potentially ruin you in the first 4 turns.

I understand the idea when GS says get rid of the Webs, but aren't those the only thing that could potentially save you against a strong winnie rush from an eladawen or Boris? The other weakness seems to be against a Darkclaw (Gwen to a lesser extent) since you don't have any item destruction.

DC has to get set (and then has to keep being set) it takes a long time to kill these allies with EA and you just get them back, one way or another.... most of the time, the match is over by turn 8-10 (9 is a very sweet spot)

and yes, the webs and such are for early weenie rush.

i tried this deck and i can safely say... i either steamrolled or got steamrolled myself xD. took out the webs and added gargoyles. kept the freeze. added 2 acid jets+2 shrieks to deal with DC and things like snow sapphire/unmaking. and yes... the PORTALS should stay xD. fatties usually take 2 sources of damage to die. example:lightning+3cc monster. but if you get on the field through portal. you can usually take out that monsters and the rest tends to snowball from there... death knight cycles... hero ability... with portal... i bursted someone down from +20 a few games ago o.o. 2 pbs and a death knight and a fireball.

this one is difficult to update. still working on it. the whole portal thing is tough. molten and oggy seem like good choices to add to the deck, but then, it kind of changes the flavor... at least as far as motlen is concerned. oggy kind of fits. more thunder
