Just curious, how does this format fix the "whoever goes first" problem? If you have player X and player Y, the player who goes first wins, and player X goes first in the first game, then:

I understand it perfectly. Others may not. Just look at all the confusion. :P

Just going forward in the future, I think this tournament had a few too many non-standard rules that made it a bit too complicated.
