I love the idea but why not start with a super high casting cost or other costs (sac 2 allies/resources) to prevent them from becoming more powerful. Kinda of like SE's version of MTG's Leviathan....
Like the ideas. We need more come into play effects and passive effects on Allies too.
My 2 cents: I am not sure about the meta but I think Logan mirrors are quite fun as long as both players draw their BFs. The fight for board control and to stick a PB for a couple turns is pretty...
The thread about negative play experiences made me think about which top decks have promoted the most positive play experiences. In the history of SE, which tier 1 deck helped shape the most fun meta...
Do you play bad santa to find your frenzy? Yes this is a deck based on card advantage leading to board control. I am not the best player but I find you generally lose the early game but use your...
I agree card draw is powerful and meta-shaping. It is no surprise that decks that have the best card advantage tend to be on top of the meta (note decks like darkclaw have high levels of virtual card...
Win before you run out of cards? 40 cards versus 60 should make this easier... unless it is Darkclaw but even then probably still better that they have more than 40
Drakkon: It seems to me that you are a "spike" http://www.wizards.com/magic/magazine/article.aspx?x=mtgcom/daily/mr11b So for you if it isn't "broken" it is fine but there are other perspectives....
Oh God, lets not bring back card stealing. Does any anybody remember how much fun transference and night prowler were when they were tier 1? "Oh you stole my one card that can deal with your threat...
Nice draw but to be fair I don't think bazaar on a field of 2 kris' is exactly the optimal line of play. :-p Probably the biggest "lol" was research on turn 3.
Couldn't agree more. Losing in a couple turns > winning after 30 minutes of doing nothing. At least against old school Elementis you felt like you were doing something each turn.
See this...
how about a card that put two sparks into play for 3 resources? OPed?
Ken you make a good point. Whether or not you have BF out makes a big difference.
True but, to be fair I feel like, with the exception of Darkclass (sorry Drakkon) the decks at the top are getting less and less "annoying." Boris has to win the traditional way- with board control-...
If you have a chance to kill Aldon with Logan or Boris' Ability versus crippling blow which do you think is better? Assume that there are no other allies on the board that you have to worry about. As...
MTG writers like Mike Flores often talk about the best decks of yester-year. I have recently started playing SE again and was thinking about the best deck of all time. By this I mean the deck that...
Well here is to Darkclaw's new ability being powerful and interactive. :-) It would be shame for a game created by "wulven" studios not have to have a good wolf hero. :-)
Unfan:
If you look...
Drakkon you are good player and a nice guy if I remember correctly but decks that were perceived not to be fun to play against have always been changed whether or not the they are overpowered...
Bitterblossom is like drawing a free 1/1 flier for 1 life every turn. It was stupid good when it was in standard. This game needs more and better card draw not less. Doing stuff is fun. Waiting for...
Say what?

To enough players to warrant this thread. Care to make it a poll? Who enjoys playing against Darkclaw?
Elementis and the 1.3 Darkclaw were changed for the same reason so it is silly to think this...
Darkclaw should and will be changed for the same reason sandra, HBM, and transference were changed. He is not fun and thus not in the best interest of Kyle's bank account
I could be wrong but I don't think modern Logan would stand a chance against the tier 1 decks of the past. I remember Logan being soundly beaten in the first world tournament (the SE cost was 3 to...

Oh wait...
Of the cards you mentioned only one (soul seeker) is usually played as a 4 of in 30 card decks. If you made different cards have different limits in decks, it could get extremely frustrating. On the...
