Weapon X = Wolverine, trimmed and improved.
Wolverine is the name of his other Logan deck.
Logan = X-man = Wolverine = Weapon X

Arm lock is not beating up imho.

Besides if my girlfriend tried to destroy one of my decks, I'd slap a wristlock on and might even add some pressure points! ;)

That's because Hellsteed gives +1 to the first other ally to attack.
Since Death Mage still has a base attack of 0, it still can't attack.

I'm really torn if I should invest in DR, it seems so random.

I think what Graphlem means is that if the opponent has board control, then the WotF wouldn't help you a lot since every card you'll play would be dealt with.
It seems more viable vs burn decks...
