Ah, the irony
They are 1680 x 1050 (the size of my 20-inch iMac). I imagine you could use some sort of graphics program to crop or expand it if the desktop wallpaper logic isn't doing nice things. I just checked...
There are a number of variables to the process:
- entire cards or just the picture (trimmed a little to avoid some of the intrusive bits)
- scaling
- rotation
- haze to make cards less bright...
a few variations on the theme
mostly upright cards
medium-sized cards
small cards... are they all there?
And a more whimsical one.
It's a little vibrant for my taste, but try this

Am I the only one having a little trouble figuring out the difference between the 10 numbered names in yellow and the 3 unnumbered names in white?
For my money, it was...

The same can be done in Smalltalk (my weapon of choice). It still leaves unanswered the question of which results in a clearer organization of code: Jasmine as a generic card with bits of code...
I googled this, but still don't know what it means."Need"? Perhaps not. I imagine one could use a variety of languages/techniques to solve the problem. Perhaps even Fortran or COBOL with all data in...
It would be interesting to see how many "simple" rules one could actually create and what the real impact would be. I have the sneaking suspicion some folks underestimate the difficulty. :)
We may be a bit destracted here by differing terminology. In my implementation, SECard is the superclass for all cards. One of its subclasses, SEAbstractAlly is the superclass of all ally cards....
Try it and let us know how it works. :) My implementation has one class per card, plus one abstract class per type (ally, weapon, hero, etc) plus an abstract class for all cards. Having implemented...
Actually, that part is quite simple to code. The game knows how the cards work, so it's just a matter of the AI choosing which card to try next, letting the game engine play that card and then the AI...
There was a thread started yesterday. I remember it and Google (search for "gondoriandotcom heros") remembers it:
Why Some Heros Need to be Nerfed. Started by GondorianDotCom, Today 06:36 PM....
It's likely impossible to find a single UI design that everyone falls in love with. It's also fairly easy to have several UI options so people could choose the one they like. My UI is 2-click rather...
Devastation: can you give a simple definition of "boosted"? Are allies on fire only while devastation is on the board? Only while boosted? Or do they stay on fire until they die?
Executioner's Scythe: you have several cards with an ability cost expressed in therm of health (blood drop), but there are mixed signals as to who pays the cost. Can you clarify?
Soulsect: do I...
ragerial: does he gain attack even without a weapon?
Blyzen: if you add a new ability to an ally that already has one, does it retain the old one? Can both be used on the same turn?
Soul...
Flowing Castle: if you add an ability to an ally that already has an ability, does it retain the previous one? Do the allies lose this new ability when Flowing Castle is destroyed? Can multiple...
Blasmire: does effect apply to weapons/armor put into play after Blasmire is played (but still in play)?
Blasmire: "their weapon*S* gain +3" Does this really mean multiple weapons get a boost? For...
Serund: do you mean that it can be played with zero casting cost if two wulven allies die in battle?
Knight Hound: when you say "reduced to his base attack," what happens if he is already *below*...
