I was thinking (perhaps foolishly) that had his ability stayed 3se and then with the addition of the dark prophecies set, it would have brought him into balance. ;)

i agree. new heroes should not duplicate or make other heroes' abilities obsolete. Having 1 hero ability that can do what multiple cards can do (at only 1 higher se) can make some heroes not played...
