I find the deck can easily stall cards like Snow Sapphire with recursive Lightning Hunter and well timed Regeneration. More pesky are the 4cc artifacts and under, particularly from the new set.
I'm finding Master Smith very handy to protect What Big Teeth and for Spectral Sabre Vs attachment heavy decks like Warriors, Gwen, Elementalis, and Priests.

I think the biggest detriment to this (type of) deck is the same problem effecting all classes/Heroes, that with the new set of cards it is difficult to make a balanced/universally strong deck Vs all...
I am convinced DC cannot be played solo now. Perhaps with allies though.
Moonstalker can be played Solo, but still not at a top level.
