Is there a way to calculate how many players there are in a meltdown? I wanna know what tier I am so I'd stop selling my cards for half price.

Only way is to play single game by alternative account - and look which place that account will have after one game.
Btw here you can get some free crystals if you already did not: http://game.shadowera.com/bonus.php
There could be around 350-400 players at the moment
I know cos I'm rank 350 with 30 points
So aim for a rank that is 1-150 to ensure you escape the bottom tier and receive no gold
I am rank 5 so secured for tier 1? Cause I really don't feel like grinding anymore esp if I've to sell cards I regret later on.
I just wanted to get tier 1 so I can get rich fast and don't have to grind again! :(
You are rank 5 now... but its long time to Friday. So I still recommend you to play some more games to secure position. You can grind some money in QM or against AI to have something to play MD ;-)
Donīt worry even tier 2 makes good profit from meltdown.
Tier 1 is probably defined by top 1%
So you are probably tier 2 ATM but by Friday... if you can hold that rank 5 position then you might just scrape into tier 1
Your tier 2 position is secure tho and like maskee said... you can make a decent profit especially with a good win rate
I only got 2000 gold left. I had to sell all my good cards just to maintain my rank. Kings Pride, Peoples champion, Lily etc... I can only make gold dueling the ai now and god knows how lame & boring they are.
Tier 0 is 1st place; you get 1x all Legendary foils and a few hundred thousand gold
Tier 1 is 2nd thru 10th place; you get a random legendary (or Epic, I believe) foil and ~100,000 gold
Tier 2 is 11th place thru 30th place; you get a random foil and 30,000-50,000 gold
The gold numbers are all estimates dependent on total Meltdown participants that week, but those are rough averages from what I've seen.
100,000 gold wow..,. With that amount I can buyback all the cards I sold & likely every 4x copy in the game & still have enough for bragging rights.
i'd sell it if I could but it won't lemme with the 30 card minimum. (I can easily buy it back anyways.)
Selling your cards to keep your rank in Meltdown... That's probably the funniest thing I've heard XD I wish you luck in making that Tier 1 spot!
I ended up in 6th and only got tier 2 ouch!
That's like 50k gold less for 1 spot & I knew the player who got 5th wasn't far ahead but I ran out of gold...:(
So what can I buy with 50k?
( I guess I'd start with 1 of each hero.)
2115
52k gold
Gold foil Karlstrad XD
Great, I just realize the merchant doesn't sell cards of heroes you cannot use. So now I need SC to buy starters which I've 0. (Hmm... maybe if I bought neutral cards to make a deck wonder if that would work.)
51902
Lol, that's not what I meant guys...
I know about the hide filter thing. But it still won't sell you cards you don't have a 30 card hero deck with.
Anyways, I solved it by buying 30 neutral cards.
Wtf? Lol...
I like to play meltdowns.
There is still some cheaters on meltdown games.
Player game name: Asterism
Their games are always finished until T5 or something by surrender, sigh...
Thank you for the quick response, Jay
This cheater is definitely rank 1 now. Maybe just making new account n matching themselves or something like that.
Cuz I was rank 1 a little while ago, I could determine that Asterism was a cheater by his records.
BTW, your summary of meltdown strategy was really solid.
Very nicely done;)
Thanks mate
I have written 2 stuck articles on meltdown
One on how to win gold
http://www.shadowera.com/showthread....de-For-Newbies
One on how to choose booster packs and pick cards
http://www.shadowera.com/showthread....own-Tier-Lists
Enjoy!
Yeah those were nicely written as basic guidelines for new meltdown players :)
Some ideas on what to add to the guide to make it interesting for a bit more advanced players as well:
a list of typical meltdown combos
maybe a more detailed breakdown on hero picks and how certain cards might affect your hero choice.
