With the sleeves and playmats would it be too difficult to have a default setting for them, as opposed to having to select them for every deck?
What about everyone seeing the cards drawn by Dimension Ripper and Transference?
Any ideas for this? MTG just has a small panel with a boring "3/4" etc. At least ours has fancy icons and stuff. I was thinking of having a background box behind the zoomed icons, so they don't look so out of place and look more integrated into the card. But then you can't see anything behind them, which can be important to at least know if there is some ability text there or if the ability has been used...
I also tried zooming in on the card art so the whole card area is just the image, but it didn't look good at all :p
I think Heroes of Might & Magic 2 had fancier icons! :p
Hearthstone is cartoonish, but its consistent throughout.
Duels of the Planeswalker is slick and modern, and the 'boring' boxes work.
MTGO still looks likes its from 2001 so that's not an aesthetic reference.
Maybe it's just a question of resolution but they kinda stray from the 'real cards' looks you've been pushing for SE.
What if you had the stats under the card, in the space between rows? It wouldn't hide the cards (especially the beautiful foils) and it might look more natural...
BTW, how does it work if you have a lot of allies out (when they start overlapping over each other)?
