Last time i played the game was years ago and i can see things have been changed. I still have some crystals to spend to get some essential cards but not sure where I should start. Any tips and comments?

I believe currently the best way to do this is to buy the Raikka Spellseeker (Premium Shadow Mage) starter deck, and sell off whatever you don't need from that. That particular deck happens to have many cards that sell for a good amount of gold.
