First Round vs Zhanna

Armored Sandworm...bastard.

Sixteenth Round vs Zhanna Mist - 8-8

Second Round vs Eladwen

A close race, but opHero ran out of choices in the end and was forced to Supernova the board in order to kill the Shadow Knights that were going to kill the opHero the very next turn. Which meant that the action won me the game anyhow. Cutting the nose to spite the face. Notably, Evil Ascendent did not make an appearance. Sometimes you just don't need it, and sometimes you just don't want it. You have to think about it carefully and make the call early, but if you're right it will win you the game.

Seventeenth Round vs Eladwen Frostmire - 9-8

    Third Round vs Moonstalker

Hate this bastard, I really do. His Shadow ability is just too goddamned powerful at 3 cost. I gave a better run at it than usual, managed to drop him down to 12 life in the end - but against this deck you need both a God Hand and the luck of the Devil to win.

    Fourth round vs Gwenneth

Now this was a good game! All kinds of clever ingeniuity went into this game, and the patient mastery of this deck is what won it. That and Guardian's Oath. Suffice it to say that by the end the only margin of victory I possessed was a Shadow buffed Guardian's Oath would have won the game had the opHero attacked at any time. A clever ruse with a Priest of Light at the end - play, retreat, play to gain some health.

Armor was critical at all points. Crimson Vest was literally worth its weight in gold, and the first time I lost it and had a choice for Master Smith (weapon or armor) Crimson Vest was the first, last, and only choice to be made.

    An excellent game. First-rate.

    Final Round vs Nishaven

Shutdown. Spelleater Bands in first hand. An anxious moment when a Portal appeared, but I made a choice to buff out a Guardian's Oath in order to protect my armor. It was the right one. Two opAllies appeared and were exterminated. Master Smith in hand to recall the Bands, and opHero Bazaar refilling my own hand nicely.

With Spelleater Bands out and the board in control, this deck shuts out mages like no one's business.
