Thank you to all those visited last week. I really appreicate your feedback and ideas. Please continue to visit and drop a comment or two.

This week, I've decided to concentrate on Abilities. I've tried to think about ideas that isn't quite yet in place yet - rather than simply making similar cards to different classes.

Again, I've sort of explored deviantART for some art inspiration.

So.. here goes.

Hunter Ability:
Name: Magic Mushroom
Casting Cost: 3
Effect: Ongoing: Remove all effects from target ally. Target ally is immune from ALL spells and abilities.
Flavor: Mushrooms in these parts have curious properties.
Art: Different coloured mushrooms growing in a field in the heart of a forrest.

Priest Ability:
Name: Regenerate
Casting Cost: 4
Effect: Ongoing: Target ally regenerate 2 health per turn
Flavor: Something I learnt from the Trolls…
Art: Something like this. Or an artwork a human warrior's limb re-growing (might be a bit too yuck)

Rogue Ability:
Name: Shadow
Casting Cost: 4
Effect: Ongoing: Target ally gains stealth. (Cannot be targeted)
Flavor: It is hidden in your very own shadow.
Art: Something like this.

Wulven Ability:
Name: Feast
Casting Cost: 3
Effect: Target ally gains 3 health from each ally it kills.
Flavor: Feast on its flesh!
Art: A wolf tearing off a piece of flesh from a fallen victim.

Warrior Ability:
Name: Burst of Speed
Casting Cost: 3
Effect: Target ally can attack twice this turn.
Flavor: A little encourage goes a long way!
Art: Something like this.

Mage Ability:
Name: Shadow Siphon.
Casting Cost: 2
Effect: Gain Shadow energy equal to enemy hero’s current shadow energy. You lose 1 life for each shadow energy gained.
Flavor: It’s like blood. Not all energy is compatible.
Art: Something like this.

Elemental Ability:
Name: Dimension collapse
Casting Cost: 10
Effect: Destroy ALL items, effects, allies and resources.
Flavor: The end of everything…
Art: The Land Crumbling away...

Difference between regenerate and feast is that feast requires you to actually kill an enemy, where regenerate will continue to gain health. Thats why I made the casting cost different and the health gain different also.

Dimension collapse is the ultimate board wipe. I guess its a last ditch attempt for an elemental player to hopefully try and catch up again.

I think magic mushroom will add a bit of extra thinking into the game. I guess its anti mage... but also means you won't be able to buff it up after you use it... so might be an awesome card for the epics like Aeon. Might also work to rid off crippling blow and cards like that.

Shadow Siphon might be a bit powerful currently... Thats why I made the caster lose health also to try and balance things out.

Well... please comment and provide suggestions! Thanks to the people whos visited.

Next week... I'll be throwing in a first look at a series of allies for Human and Shadow. Stay tuned!

As an elemental, I'm liking Dimension Collapse. Not sure I'll use it, but it will certainly be devastating. 10 Seems rather high compared to current casting costs though. Also if an elemental gets into so much trouble, that he/she actually needs this, it will be well before turn 10.

    Feck yeah, Mushroom and Erika

No comments on these cards at the moment, but I really like the way you pick art for most of the, especially the one for regeneration.

Yeah... 10 seems to be a bit TOO much. On more careful thought... by the time you get to 10 resources you're probably very much dead already. So maybe changing it to 6 might be okay. About the time you get an Aeon sounds fair enough I guess.

Thank you. I do very much try and look for an image to sort of match what I have in mind. I am no artist so I rely on diviantART to bring some ideas to light.

    Some abilities I've thought of:
    Name: Shadow Clone
    Card Type: Mage Ability
    Cost: 4 or 5
Effect: Create a shadow copy of the selected ally which only has 1 health but can attack the moment it is created.
Text: Shadow matter can mimick anything, but it is so fragile.
Art: Shadows coalescing into a humanoid form.

Card Name: Call of the Pack
    Card Type: Wulven Ability
    Cost: 4 or 5
Card Effect: Two 3/3 wolf tokens are summoned to the battlefield under your control two turns after you cast this card.
    Text: Meet the pack!!
Art: A Wulven warrior with a pack of wolves behind him.

Yo! Nice ideas once again. Shadow clone sounds really wicked! Having 1 health makes it very balanced too. Call of the pack is an interesting idea too. Getting 2 3/3 for 4 cost might be a bit powerful... but I guess you do have that two turns delay.... so yeah... prob would work!
