      Season 20 Top Players

As season 20 closed and we sent out congratulations to our top 100 players, it made us reflect on what an accomplishment this is for our top 100 players! Pat Jay wrote a very interesting article on the forum called; “Top 100: Do you have what it takes?”. In his typical analytical approach, Pat Jay shows that it is both effort and a heck of a lot of skill to place in the top 100! This season’s results are even more mind blowing when you consider players that are in the top 100 for both score and ratings. FDL pointed out on Twitter that 22 players this season ranked on both the Ratings and Score ladders. Most notably Jojiwakabayashi (24th in score and 14th in rating), BP Chamthabo (34th and 11th), and ROK Viscuit (90th and 2nd). These players walked away with some great prizes but they’ve also left their mark on the pages of Shadow Era history. You can view our full Hall of Fame and the current rankings here.

      Regional Championships

Viewing these rankings, it also reminds us what an impressive Shadow Era Regional and World Championship we are soon going to have! The first session of Regionals is on November 22nd and 23rd. A Swiss elimination will determine the top 8 players, who will then go into the single-elimination event the next weekend. With a lot of new Shadow Era Youtubers and Streamers on Twitch and Hitbox, the Regionals are going to be played out very publically. And of course this will all lead up to the World Championships. Any predictions on who will win?

      Digital Deals

Our Halloween store saw sales so low they were scary. We’re continuing to pass on some great deals on our online store, especially to our digital players. Digital players are getting 50% off Shadow Crystals. We’ve also added a new item; digital booster boxes! This gets you 24 digital boosters. Each booster pack contains 15 cards: 1 Hero, 10 Common, 3 Uncommon, and 1 Rare or Epic. You also have a chance at getting a foil; 1 in 5 booster packs having a premium foil card that replaces a common!

      Shadow Era Physical

Last weekend was the Malta Comic Expo where there were Shadow Era demos by our local Champion, Midas, and gameplay. They completely sold out of Shadow Era class decks and new players are looking forward to future gameplay and tournaments. So much so that there is yet another regional Shadow Era Facebook page: Shadow Era Malta! We also had a lunch party at Heroes World in Markham, ON Canada. Lots of new players picked up class decks and boosters and really joined the game. Many players used to play WoW and were looking to pick up something similar since it’s been killed off. They were quite impressed with Shadow Era and are looking forward to having another Shadow Era game day at the store.

      Shadow Era.net

This fan site continues to publish some impressive articles. Articles on Priest and Human Mage drawing capabilities, a breakdown on the card Hunter’s Gambit, a great a Baduruu deck list with Homucuus cards and resource control are just a few. We’re looking forward to the coverage and analysis of the Regionals and Championships that we will see from this site!

May I ask the exact time? I have plans on 23rd. So I would like to know if I could make it.

The times and more details are posted here: http://www.shadowera.com/showthread....388#post527388

        Asia/Australasia: Saturday 15th November 5am GMT - 1pm GMT

Americas: Saturday 15th November 6pm GMT - 2am GMT (Sunday)

        Europe/Africa: Sunday 16th November 12pm (noon/midday) GMT - 8pm GMT

We've done our very best to have suitable start times for people in those regions. That said, while you can only play in one regional, you can choose whichever one you want to compete in, regardless of your geographic location.

It'll be 7 rounds with 1 round per hour. There will be somewhat of a break after round 4.
